The cuisine of the Commonwealth Caribbean is a fusion of the various cuisines of the people that settled in this region for a period of time. It is a fusion of Amerindian, African, British, Spanish, Dutch, French, Portuguese, Chinese and Indian cuisine. These traditions were brought from the many homelands of this region’s population. In addition, the population has created styles that are unique to the region.
